Total Sulfur Analyzer |
|
|
The Total Sulfur Analyzer (TSA) instrument is designed as a convenient, reliable, and economical way for beverage-grade CO2 producers and beverage bottlers to analyze their CO2 for trace levels of sulfur contamination on site.
This convenient, inexpensive, and easy to use instrument provides the complete total sulfur analysis of a regulated gaseous CO2 supply within several minutes and will reproducibly detect 50 parts per billion total sulfur content. The TSA is supplied with regulated gaseous CO2 from vaporized liquid, and a high purity grade regulated air supply. The
Vaporization Module (CVM), T-11-353, and the Air Purification System (APS), T-11-351, both available separately are recommended for use with the TSA.
All contaminant sulfur compounds are catalytically oxidized to SO2 and subsequently analyzed by a SO2 detector tube. The internal components are either Silcosteel® coated stainless steel or Teflon for complete inertness.

Air Purification System |
|
|
The Air Purification System (APS) is designed for the convenient and reliable generation of a continuous supply of high-purity, hydrocarbon, moisture, and sulfur free air from the surrounding ambient environment.
This reliable and inexpensive system provides a source of high purity air designed to compliment the Total Sulfur Analyzer (TSA). The TSA requires high purity air as a source of oxygen for the catalytic oxidation of contaminant sulfur compounds to SO2 for analysis. Any sulfur contamination in the air source will cause erroneous results in the operation of the TSA. The APS is enclosed in a durable instrument box and utilizes an internal air pump and a series of traps and filters to ensure the production a high-purity air supply |

Liquid CO2 Vaporization Model II |

The Liquid CO2 Vaporization Module (CVM) is designed for the safe and efficient vaporization of liquid CO2 to a homogeneous, regulated gaseous output via a completely inert channel.
Model I for use with TSA (T-11-150) and DTM (T-11-356)
Model II for use with Odor/Taste/Appearance (T-11-357) and low pressure outlet
Demanding ISBT requirements for CO2 include all specifications to be met on the bulk liquid CO2 storage. The complete vaporization of liquid CO2 without any vapor/liquid partitioning is essential to the accurate analysis of the sample. The CVM safely introduces small volumes of liquid CO2 into a heated expansion chamber as required without the chance of over-filling or over-pressurizing. The CVM possesses a high pressure cryogenic solenoid valve, safety fuses, and pressure relief valves for safety. All internal channels of the CVM are either inert Silcosteel® coated stainless steel or inert Teflon. |

Gathered together under this catagory are a number of different accesssories necessary for proper CO2 analysis.
The SDP-1 sample chamber (T-11-361) is designed to properly and safely sample Liquid CO2 from bulk storage for transportation to testing facilities. The chamber is completely passivated using Silcosteelâ technology to prevent cylinder-wall adsorption of trace CO2 contaminants. The use of a dip-tube-equipped valve for sampling insures the safe and efficient sampling of approximately 1 pound of liquid CO2. The chamber contains a stainless steel combination valve with 1800 psig burst disk and with a 316 stainless steel dip-tube. The inlet valve is ¼” NPT male/male with a ¼" compression tube male to ¼” NPT female fitting to compliment the DIT-3P Sampling Tubing. The SDP-1 is fully quality checked for safety, reliability, and cleanliness before shipment.
The DIT-3P Sampling Line (T-11-362) is a rugged, flexible, 3 ft., 3/16” ID, PTFE-lined, stainless steel braided flexible tube (3,000 psig rated), with Silcosteelâ coated, ¼” compression fittings. The sampling line is designed for connecting an SDP-1 cylinder to a liquid CO2 tank sampling valve.
The CSA-4 Cylinder Support Assembly (T-11-354) consists of a sturdy iron 25” tripod support rod plus upper and lower cylinder clamps. The CSA-4 provides the secure, vertical mounting of the SDP-1 Liquid CO2 Sampling Cylinder during testing procedures.
The SBL-2 kit (T-11-358) consists of a pre-cleaned, ready-for-use, electropolished 2-Liter stainless steel beaker and lid with handle unit. It is specifically designed for use in CGA and ISBT type tests for non-volatile residue and non-volatile organic residue in liquid CO2. Approximately 400 to 600 grams of CO2 snow is added to the SBL beaker and allowed to evaporate. The unique advantages of this SBL-2 Kit are its ruggedness and, because of its highly reflective interior surface, users can easily detect any trace, non-volatile contaminants after snow evaporation. The use of the Snow-500S Kit is recommended for CO2 Snow collection. |
